Our Approach to AI in Nines
Nines uses artificial intelligence to make estate management easier for your team. Our goal with building AI-powered features is to help you save time and make better decisions with useful, accurate insights — without compromising security.
You have the choice to opt in to these features across your account, and you’ll always maintain human oversight and full transparency.
Nines AI Overview
Opt in — or out
Our AI features require an account admin to opt in under your account settings. When you choose to opt in, all users across your account will have access to relevant AI-powered features consistent with their permissions settings. You can always decide to opt out again. AI features respect your existing permission structure, which means users can only generate insights from information they already have access to within Nines. If you choose to opt out, no one on your account will have access to AI-powered features.
Built for human review
Our AI features are designed to assist, not replace, human decision-making. While these tools are designed to be helpful and accurate, AI-generated content may be incomplete or incorrect. We build human review into every feature, and we recommend reviewing all outputs carefully.
Our AI Infrastructure (AWS Bedrock)
Our AI is built to operate within our broader security framework, including safeguards around sensitive and personal information (Nines is SOC 2 Type II compliant).
We run our AI features on Amazon AWS Bedrock, a secure, enterprise-grade platform. Bedrock is designed for privacy and does not store or use your prompts or responses to train its models. Bedrock does not save prompts or completions, does not use data for model training, and does not share data with third parties (read more here).
This means your data stays under your control, and only Nines handles the information needed to provide your AI features.
What Nines Logs and Why
To continuously improve our AI functionality, Nines keeps a secure, anonymized internal log of AI prompts and AI responses. These logs are temporarily accessible to a limited number of engineering team members, with the express purpose of ensuring that results reflect the quality we expect. All logs are deleted after 30 days.
Data Retention and Deletion
Each Nines account has its own isolated workspace, or tenant. If a tenant is ever deleted from the platform, then 1) all AI logs and related data are fully deleted, and 2) nothing is kept by Nines or AWS.
This data deletion policy ensures your information is removed permanently and cannot be recovered.
