Every aspect of estate management comes with a high level of risk. When you’re planning schedules for a high-profile family, managing luxury properties, overseeing valuable collections, or bringing vendors into a private residence, you’re dealing with a range of risks to privacy, safety, reputation and more on a daily basis.

At Nines, our goal is to help families and the people who support them live with ease, and you can’t do that without peace of mind.

We’ve partnered with the risk management and business advisory firm Presage Global to create The Estate Security Gap Survey, designed to shed light on how estates currently manage risk and where critical gaps exist. This anonymous survey for homeowners, estate managers, and other private service professionals will provide insights for a comprehensive report that will allow households to see opportunities for improvement, minimize vulnerabilities, and ultimately mitigate risk.

Who Should Participate

We’re looking for insights from people closest to estate operations and security, including:

  • Homeowners
  • Estate managers
  • Personal assistants
  • Private household security professionals
  • Family office risk or operations leads
  • Private service professionals

Everyone plays a role in managing a household’s risk. You’ll notice the survey includes answers like “don’t know” or “does not apply” for most questions, and those answers are just as important as definitive ones, because they signal blind spots or uncertainty in how households address security.

What to Expect From Sharing Your Insights

This ~12 minute survey is completely anonymous, but once you’re finished, you’ll have a chance to sign up to receive the report (in a separate form, so your answers will remain anonymous). You can expect:

  • Confidentiality: No individual or family will be identified in the published findings
  • Access to an aggregated industry report: This fall, Presage Global and Nines will release a report highlighting key trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities uncovered by the survey data
  • Future best practices: Your insights will shape frameworks, solutions, and models to help estates better manage risk in the years to come

Why This Survey Matters

Today more than ever, the families we support (and the estate management teams who support them) are facing unprecedented risk. Every household needs a clear, holistic picture of their risk so they can be proactive and get ahead of emergencies. Sharing your insights in this survey will allow us to establish industry benchmarks and reveal the areas where households can improve. We hope you’ll join us in creating this invaluable guide for families and the private service professionals who support them!
