[Easemakers Podcast E95] Continuing education for luxury yacht and estate chefs
Professional development is critical for everyone in private service, but the opportunities for learning new skills are all too rare. In this episode of the Easemakers Podcast, Chef Adrienne Gang shares how she plans to change that for luxury yacht and estate chefs.

In 20 years in the luxury yachting industry, Chef Adrienne Gang has learned every lesson the hard way. Today, she knows how to bring any charter guest’s vision to life with limited resources, and she wants to create calmer waters for her fellow yacht chefs and crew members.
This October, Adrienne is launching a course in Fort Lauderdale with Florida International University called Luxury Culinary Operations: Yacht and Estate Logistics, designed to help yachties and estate chefs learn what it takes to apply their culinary skills in high-stakes and remote private service environments.
In this episode of the Easemakers Podcast, she shares why continuing education has become her passion, and how chefs can benefit from special training designed for private service.
Tune in to hear:
- Why logistical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are just as important as culinary skills in private service
- Adrienne’s path from culinary school to serving as a chef on tour buses, yachts and private estates
- Why it’s critical for yacht chefs to keep their skills and experience up to date
Plus, in the lightning round, Adrienne shares a behind the scenes look at her time serving as a Chief Stew on Bravo’s reality TV series Below Deck season 1 (including why she never planned to be a cast member or a stewardess), as well as her experience volunteering her culinary skills to provide disaster relief with organizations like the Guy Fieri Foundation.
