[Easemakers Podcast E83] The value of range in estate management
Is it better to be a specialist, or a jack of all trades? In this episode of the Easemakers Podcast, estate manager and consultant Steve Davis shares the value of a diverse background in estate management.

On the Easemakers Podcast, we always ask guests to share what led them to the industry, and it’s rare to hear the same answer twice. Everyone has a unique path into the world of private service. For Steve Davis, a wide range of experiences — including a lifelong love of music and a military background — prepared him for a career in estate management.
After falling into property management unexpectedly, Steve spent 20 years growing with a single family office. Today, he is an estate manager and consultant, and runs his own firm, Resonate Estate Management, in Palm Desert, California.
In this episode of the Easemakers Podcast, Steve shares how being an “expert generalist” has helped him succeed in private service. Tune in to hear stories of how a diverse background helps him in his role as an estate manager and consultant, his advice for working closely with specialists, and tips for learning on the job.
